Beverly Chell
Board Member
In 1989, Beverly co-founded PRIMEDIA, then K-III Communications Corporation, with two other veterans of Macmillan, Charles G. McCurdy, President, and former PRIMEDIA Chairman & CEO William F. Reilly. She has been responsible for more than 250 transactions throughout her career and has been a major presence in the reshaping of the publishing industry since joining Macmillan, Inc. in 1981. At both Macmillan and PRIMEDIA, her ability to structure transactions has been central to the rapid growth of both companies.
Beverly received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D. from the New York Law School and an LLM degree from the New York University School of Law. She is very active in helping to solve the problems of public education and is the initiator of the New York City Public Schools Emergency Book Project, a program she spearheaded while on the Board of Directors of PENCIL, an organization whose aim is to bring business and public education together.
Peter Ellis

Pete Ellis has been a leading business innovator with every enterprise he has owned and operated since the mid-1970s. As one of the largest automobile dealers in the western United States, Pete pioneered one price selling, bringing consumer-oriented policies to the sale of new and used automobiles. In 1994-95, using technology and innovative marketing strategies, Pete launched the first automobile buying and research website, Autobytel. His approach revolutionized an entire industry, for both manufacturers and consumers, and his efficient marketing and transaction platform continues to be the basis for every commercially viable automobile website in existence. After taking Autobytel public in 1999 (NASDAQ: ABTL), he formed Jubilee Investments.
Pete has been honored by Advertising Age as one of the top marketers in the U.S., and his Internet technology innovations have been made part of the Permanent Research Collection at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
Josh McCarter

Josh led the spin out of GramercyOne from its prior parent company, SpaFinder, and secured its $14.5M Series A investment from Revolution Ventures, Grotech TDF, and Jubilee Investments. Prior to GramercyOne, Josh was President & COO of Arbitech, a leading independent distributor of computer hardware which achieved $1B of sales under his leadership. Arbitech was recognized as Entrepreneur magazine’s fastest growing company in the US (2003), in addition to receiving multiple placements in the INC 500 and 5000, and being rated in the Orange County Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work in the OC”.
Josh previously served as Chief Operating Officer of SpaFinder, managing the company’s technology, operations and strategic initiatives. Before joining SpaFinder, Mr. McCarter served as Vice President of International Development and Vice President of Business Development for the online automotive marketing leader, Autobytel.com. At Autobytel, Josh led the company’s international expansion efforts, oversaw acquisitions, developed strategic partnerships and assisted in the company’s IPO.
McCarter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science-International Relations as a Cum Laude Graduate at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his MBA at the University of Southern California (USC). Josh serves on the board of the Orange County chapters of Young President’s Organization (YPO) and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Jim Pastoriza,

Jim joined TDF early in 2004 and is the Managing Partner at the Fund. Jim was a Partner of J.P. Morgan Communications Partners, L.P. in San Francisco, CA. He was previously a Partner at AT&T Ventures, leading Fund investments in Internet Security Systems (ISSX), WNP Communications (sold to Nextlink). Prior to AT&T Ventures, Jim held operational positions at AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He was the Product Manager for AT&T’s Consumer Long Distance Service which generated $13 billion in revenue from 60 million customers. Jim also served as the Executive Assistant to AT&T’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development. Previously, he was a Lucent Technologies Account Executive ranking in the top 1% of national sales.
Jim received a B.S. from Columbia University and earned his M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Don Rainey

Don Rainey joined Grotech Ventures as a general partner in September 2007. With over $1B US under management, Grotech focuses on early stage information technology companies. In addition to GramercyOne, Don currently serves on the boards of Grotech portfolio companies Clarabridge, HelloWallet, LivingSocial, Personal, SnappCloud, and Zenoss, as well as the Northern Virginia Chapter of the March of Dimes. In Fall 2008, Don was appointed for a second term as an emerging technology consultant to the Chief Information Officer of the US Department of Defense through the DeVenCi Program.
Don earned a B.B.A. from James Madison University and a M.S. in Bioscience Management from George Mason University. He serves on the Executive Advisory Council for the College of Business at James Madison University and he is an adjunct professor at American University.
Tige Savage

Tige Savage co-founded Revolution LLC with Steve Case and serves as its Managing Director, where he oversees all of Revolution’s venture capital efforts. In addition to GramercyOne, Tige serves or has served on the boards of Revolution portfolio companies LivingSocial, Revolution Money (American Express), Flexcar (Zipcar), UberMedia, Personal, Clearspring, SparkPeople, Snagfilms, and Qloud (Buzznet). From 2001 to 2003, Tige was vice president of Time Warner Ventures, where he led a team of investment professionals focused on equity investments in technology and next-generation media companies for AOL, HBO, Time Inc., Time Warner Cable, Turner, and Warner Bros.
Tige received his MBA with highest distinction from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and his BBA from James Madison University.
